It's only a piece of it, because the whole page is 14"x17" and I'm loathe to take the work to scan it all together until it's completely inked. Respa only has one arm because I don't know where to put the other one yet. I love how Ryan's face turned out, though. Look how I made room for dafont.com t-shirt graphics!

Still messing around with coloring this piece here, but I think I've finally come up with a viable solution for the background, without drawing it myself. (I hate drawing backgrounds.) Finished! At last. I still don't know how I feel about the moon, it was sort of an afterthought.

Yes, I do love dafont.com dingbats for t-shirt graphics. The Beedrill makes so much more sense. The ghettoblaster on Ryan's shirt just makes him look trendy, but I don't think Ryan invests a lot of time thinking about the deeper meaning of the ten graphic t-shirts he throws over one arm from one shelf in one store once or twice a year, paid for with cash in an envelope his mother gave him.
His sister bought him the sweater.

In high school, I did a piece inspired by (yes) the Dresden Dolls' song, Coin Operated Boy, and Chobits, when it wasn't the cliché it is today. It was a pretty good concept, but I did a blah job of the posing and everything. So here it is, re-done for 2009:

One, photobucket blurred this like hell. I never notice it with my TS2 pictures, but for some reason with my art it's completely in my face. Look at all the fucking detail that ISN'T there on their hair anymore! What did I do all those tiny lines for, in the end?
Two, yes I did forget to completely clean it up. Oops.
Three, this was originally on 14"x17" paper, so it took three scans to get a complete image, and then a lot of finagling to get everything aligned.
Invisible half-walls! That's what they're leaning on. If anyone feels like doing a background for these guys (HAHAHAHA) then tell me allllll about it. Because I certainly won't be doing it. I hate backgrounds. I hate perspective that is not on a living body. I hate drawing objects.
Does Ryan look less trollish here? :| I think he does. I think he looks more like your average human being, now.

So as a few of you may have noticed, I've recently but rapidly developed an obsession with the DC comicsverse, which was spawned from watching every JLU episode ever made on youtube, which was spawned from torrenting Epilogue for two fucking weeks just to a) see Terry at 30 and b) discover it was on youtube all along, which was spawned from torrenting all three seasons of Batman Beyond, which is hands down my favorite cartoon from that studio, which I have yet to discover the name of. *takes a breath*
Well, this obsession and the helpfulness of speaky_bean led me to victoria_wayne's work, on which I am now hooked. I was reading this one very particular fanfic by her, and then nerorizim had a gander at it as well, and it resulted in...
